napkins and napkin holders

Hi ladies!

I originally wanted linen napkins but the price may be a bit too high unless we get the decoraters to do them. The caterer wanted to charge 10 waiters for 4 hours to fold the napkins so I definately am not getting them from the caterer. Are linen napkins a necessity or are airlaid napkins, or other paper napkins alright for a wedding?

Also, found these napkin holders a beautiful way to incorporate your wedding theme into your tables.

Hello Mary, the table looks lovely. I think paper napkins are acceptable if good quality. I saw a DIY for the napkin holders. You can get a roll of the bling ($20 @ downtowncrafts.com) and use empty tissue paper/paper towel holders. cut with a box cutter or other sharp blade, paint the tube slices silver inside and out, then hot glue the bling to the painted roll when dry. I am doing this project as soon as I have acquired enough empty rolls. LOL

Hey Mary,
I'm doing something very similar - I bought the napkins from
www.tableclothsfactory.com and am very happy with them.
And I'm also using chair sashes.
For the napkin rings I found really cute diamond rings on ebay for .25 a piece
And I'm using the bling wrap on the chair sash knots.
The bling was very easy, I cut it into the lengths I needed and hot glued some velcro. Took about an hour to make 120 of them.
