Definite no. They start on the chairs they end up on the chairs and only like 2 people will keep them

We're having fans in that style, but not for the purpose of acting as a program, although I've printed them in similar fashion without the order of events. We're expecting it to be a bit warm in the chapel we're getting married in because there's only a swamp cooler.

My best friend found a pretty cheap template on Etsy that she is sending over to me to use for our programs. Since we are not having to put too much effort or money into this we are having them at our wedding. I also like them because I save all the programs of the weddings I go to. Many of them may be thrown away but hopefully at least my dad will save one!

I didn't think they were necessary, but none of my family is Catholic, so we are having them so everyone can follow along. Also, my mom almost died when I said I didn't want them and I am trying not to argue over small things.

I don't think these are necessary at all. People just throw them away. The only time it may be a really good thing to have is if it will be hot out and you want your guests to have fans... but even then, they'll be thrown in the trash. If they aren't provided, nobody will miss them.

Not necessary at all. No one takes them. When I was doing wedding photography the bride and groom were going home with stacks of them that were left behind.

That sounds great! I agree, I feel like if it's a simple and short ceremony it's not necessary! What kinds of activities are you planning to do?

Sadly this is true! Every wedding I've been to I've seen the pretty programs all in the trash!

Not necessary but I think that I might do one depending on the wedding party...

I don't think they are necessary at all. I like to create things, so I think I might make some and print on some cheap/standard paper for guests, but mainly it will act as a little extra memento for myself.

I was planning on doing one. My family is Catholic, and my FH's is Baptist, and our ceremony will be baptist, so many of my family will not be familiar with the order of the ceremony. And from what I can tell, the baptist ceremony is very adjustable, so we were going to add in some extra things that may not be typical.

Probably not necessary, but my graphic designer friend offered, and we're printing them at work so it won't cost anything. We've also made them as a combined ceremony/reception program, with a timeline for the night, the bridal party names, dinner menu, and our relationship timeline.
