Not necessary. We’ll be doing a toast, but people will be able to choose to have champagne or their own drink.

I will say important but keep the title "champagne toast" even though it may not be champagne...think drink should be served in cute chilled small saucer type or flute..my FH doesnt drink so sparkling spritzer or ginger ale or 7up as long as it sparkles

I actually love champagne, and mimosas! Lol. Our venue provides a complimentary champagne toast as part of the "wedding package" anyway, so we'll definitely be doing one!

I think a toast is beautiful.

Our venue provides a glass of champagne with a strawberry for everyone, so we will be doing that. But I don't care what people actually toast with.

And like Wendy said, I'll drink it!

I don't think it's necessary at all, however my mother insisted upon it :/

Not champagne because too many people wouldnt finish it or drink it at all which would be totally wasteful. We are able to provide our own alcohol/drinks so we also dont want to spend the money on it to waste it. So we are instead doing a Wassail toast - hot mulled cider mixed with citrus juice that is supposed to be a wish for good health anyway. And because there is no alcohol in it the kids can have it too.

If ours did not come with our venue package we would not have it. I am not a huge champagne fan nor is my family, but we will do it since it is included.

Not necessary. Its an extra fee at my place. Its easier to just toast with what they have. A lot don't even finish it. Just a waste in my opinion.

Not necessary BUT we might do it because the idea of having a toast is nice but we won't subject anyone to drinking only champagne.

I think it's fun to her what everyone wants to say about the couple.

A toast is always nice. It gives the bride and groom a chance to speak directly to the guests. It doesn't have to be champagne. It could be wine, sparkling juice, whatever you like.

I think it's quite nice to have but not wholly necessary. I will like to have one at mine, so I will, but others may not like the though or even the taste.
