Necessary or Not: Engagement Photos?

Engagement photos are awesome but I don't think they're necessary. I'd even say you could get away with taking them after the wedding. I think at this rate I'll have them taken like a month before the actual wedding, haha.

I think they are necessary if your budget allows. It's a great way to get some personalized time with your photographer to make sure they are a good fit. It's an opportunity to learn each other's styles and become more familiar with one another to help ensure that the big day goes smoothly. Luckily, our engagement photos were included with our photography package, so we were able to have them done.

Necessary for us! We haven't had professional photos taken since our first year of dating and this is year 4! We're excited to get ours done!

Haha seems like it! I might have had a little too much fun with the eggnog, food, and treats during the holidays/winter season so I'm trying to trim up before the pictures!

So unnecessary. I didn't want them, but they came with our photography package. I like them, but I still don't have much use for them expect the one I framed.

Not necessary for all and not necessarily a big ticket or even pro moment. Maybe a simple shoot with a friend to show off the ring and save the precious moments.
