Is a grand exit necessary or not?

Really? That is not something that I think I've consciously thought about, but the way you're talking, Candace, it makes a lot of sense!

Not necessary. Hopefully we'll all go back to the hotel to keep the party going

Nope, not necessary. Never been to a wedding where the guests haven’t left before the couple. So, I don’t think it’s necessary.

Not necessary. I would rather leave in a quiet fashion especially if we are leaving before the reception ends.

Listen, I plan on having one wedding in my lifetime so I intend to stay until the very end! Maybe we'll do an extra-grand entrance Smiley winking

Oh, an Irish exit, I'm a fan of that at regular parties. To be fair though, I feel like your guests would understand. You will have had a long day.

I really want to do a sparkler exit but haven't put that together at all. If anything we may do a fake one before guests start leaving. Not a necewssity but I've seen some cool pics and I'd love to do one!

Not necessary. We are all going to head out together to keep the party going at the afterparty.

Do you want to pay for your photographer to stay that long and urge your guests to all stay that long, too? I always thought this was super cute seeing the successful pictures until the last wedding I went to and saw how it turns out to be an utter disaster. So many guests already left and those that were still around were so drunk that the poor bride's pictures were terrible. I wouldn't want to create a disappointment for myself!

We're doing this, but TBH I don't remember anyone's grand exit in all the weddings I've gone to. Everyone just wants to stay and drink/dance so they don't want to go watch the bride and groom leave.

Nope! We had a small wedding so it would have been so over the top.

Not necessary...but I'm a bit torn because I always wanted one but so many people i know personally have done the sparkler exit so now I feel like it'd be redundant if I did the same thing. If anyone has any other ideas let me know!

Great for photos, which we will consider... so necessary because we will do it.

I don't think so because I don't want to pause the party to stage an exit to go back in. We will have something as we walk down the aisle, like bubble, but that's it

Our venue doesn't allow sparklers, confetti, rice, etc. Are there other grand exit options? We haven't really thought about it or looked into it.

I like the idea behind a glow stick exit! It's the same thing as sparklers, but more colors and then your guests can take them home! You can pass them out on the dance floor shortly before leaving and that'll make your last dance fun!

Ooh at your ceremony, you'll have bubbles? That sounds like so much fun, Lizzy!
