I think having a cake isn't really a necessity but we're thinking of having one at our dinner reservation. We're not having a reception.

Necessity. What's a wedding without cake? I mean who cares if it's a cake, cupcake, cheesecake, or whatever. Cake is always a good idea. It's almost a ritual!

We can go either way. I love sweets so if we do a cake then it would be something small and more for display. We're doing a lot of smaller theme buffets and stations so our desserts would follow suit with that-s'mores bar, chocolate fountain, etc

Necessary. Perhaps an actual cake or even cupcakes! But I do enjoy the idea of having a dessert like a cake.

Up to the bride & groom! I heard 2019 is all about making it your own... it might have been the trend the last few years. I don't think people miss the cake...

Necessity for some, but an alternative would be fun.
