FutureMrsPrada, on February 21, 2014 at 3:51 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

Ok so my little cousin is going to be our ring boy. The problem is he will be 1 1/2 years, i feel like he will be very lost. So i had seen some ideas and saw the wagon! He lovess wagons and i thought it was super cute! His sister (flower girl) will pull him down the isle along with have her carry him to us to give us the rings! Only problem there like $300 dollars wtf?! Have you guys seen any under $150

I got a red Radio Flyer wagon at a yard sale for $5 last summer. I turned it into a planter but you can probably find on on Craigslist or at an auction/yard sale/flea market. I am in the Midwest and most families have one of those wagons or knows someone who does.

I would just ask around and see if you can borrow a wagon.

My concern is that he may be too little to handle being in a wedding. I think it's best to keep ring bearers and flower girls in the 4-8 year range. Younger than that, and you get meltdowns and tantrums because they're just not developmentally ready to be stared at by a room full of strangers.

@Shannon: This is very true, they get scared and just stand there until someone gets up from their seat to remove them. I have only been to one wedding that had a flower girl and this happened Smiley sad

We were going to do this as well but yea wagons are expensive lol

My nephew will also be around that age, we are going to have him use one of his little push cars and decorate it like our car for him to come down the aisle.

I'm even making a "Almost just married" sign for the back Smiley smile

I think if you live in a touristy place you would be able to rent one out. Just know that it may not work out at all so think of a backup plan. My daughter will by my flower girl at 18 months so hopefully she'll be able to do it but if she's having a tantrum or something I have designated people to pull her out of there so fast!

I'm having my son who is going to be 11 months on our wedding day be our ring bearer. He is going to be be pulled down the aisle in a wagon by my fiance's daughter who is 5 years old.
