Need advice!

Our wedding is set for June 26th 2021, I am freaking out a bit because of the virus. Is it too early for me worry? Or am I not stressing enough? Please help!

It depends on what you’re worried about. If you’re concerned that you won’t be able to have your wedding, I don’t think that’s something to worry about now or ever. You will be able to have it. If you’re concerned because you have a 100+ person guest list, I wouldn’t be worried yet, but I wouldn’t wait too long to start considering how you can cut down your guest list.

I think it's too early to know what will happen between now and June, but I think it would be a good idea to start coming up with a backup plan now. Hopefully you won't need it, but if you do need to switch to it later on, it would be all ready to go and would save you time and headaches later. Talk with your vendors to see if they can put a soft hold on a backup date for you, or come up with a plan in case you would need to downsize the guest list, etc. Don't act on any of these plans just yet - instead, still plan for your wedding to happen in June, but know what your backup plan will be just in case. I recommend making a decision around April as to whether you will need to switch to the backup plan or not.

Hopefully you are planning your Plan B scenario now in tandem with your normal planning. It's definitely worth figuring out your "what-if" scenarios now so you aren't scrambling later on (i.e. what would your reduced guest list look like). Like Caytlyn said, weddings will continue on, but it's unlikely any will be back to "normal" in 2021, so have a good contingency plan in place.

Depends on what specifically you're worried about and which state you live in.

I do agree with what some of the pps have mentioned in that it's based on if you're worried you won't be able to have a wedding in general or a wedding you originally envision.

it also is kind of too early to tell because it's still far enough away that things could get better

Breath girl! It’s a little too early to be freaking out but I would start working on a Plan B. Hopefully this vaccine will be in full swing by then. I’m a 4/3/21 bride here & do have a Plan B set up.

I say its too soon to stress about it. You have a while before your wedding and a lot can change between now and June of 2021. I would continue planning as normal, but make sure you ask your vendors about rescheduling, cancelling, or plan B options.

I wouldnt worry about it getting cancelled, but frankly I think any of us who actually think were having 100+ person weddings and acting like everything is normal are kidding ourselves. Even outside, there will be restrictions for a long time
