Need help brainstorming a unique experience

Savannah, on June 4, 2024 at 2:53 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
Hello to the sharp thinkers out there- I need your help! I am having a relatively non-traditional wedding, and I need to find some kind of experience or activity to really tie the whole thing together. Instead of a plated dinner/dancing formal reception, we’ve rented out the Skyfall Lounge at the Delano in Las Vegas. The event is going to be elegant and very “Vegas” but I want to give the guests something unique to partake in so people don’t feel like they are just drinking, eating appetizers and looking at the view for three hours. I was thinking something like a live cigar roller for the masculine and live embroidery for the feminine guests, but the cigar idea probably isn’t a hit. I don’t want everyone to be stinky all night, and I think my grandma would hate it. Do you have any ideas of what else I could do that’s a similar vibe?

Thanks so much!!

You could have a tarot card reader or a caricature artist. Or perhaps a roaming magician.

Not sure if it's a "Similar vibe", but our photo booth went non-stop for the whole 3 hours. People were going back for more photos with different participants. Our crowd was in the 50 to 60 age bracket, so definitely fun for them!! (and us) I am assuming from your post there is no dinner or DJ for dancing?

Have a professional mixologist create custom cocktails for guests. You could even have a signature cocktail named after the bride and groom.

Hire a live painter or caricature artist to create portraits or scenes from the event. Guests can take home their artwork as a special memento.

You're in Las Vegas. The vibe should be immersive, artsy, fantastical, and sexy. Hire theatrical dancers and entertainers with body paint and drama to give energy to the guest experience. In my time there, I had model coworkers that were even featured in Skyfall promos. Any venue can have a view and any wedding can have caricature artists and a ohotob. Discuss the range of possibilities with your wedding concierge.
