need help on a DIY greenery backdrop

I am trying to make a 10 x 10 greenery backdrop similar to this but more fall friendly. I did not realize how expensive artificial grass was ( $200 !!!) . .. -.- Anyone here have any cheaper ideas to make a greenery back drop ? I was thinking bunches of garland instead of mats of grass...

What about moss, is moss expensive? You could attach it to a wall or surface you can hang. And it lasts quite a long time after it is pulled.

Frankly, no matter what you do it's going to cost. I did moss covered tables for my wedding XX years ago, and I don't even want to tell you what it cost.
