Make a budget, do a lot of research on vendors - get lots of quotes and read reviews. Don't sweat the little things and have fun!

First set a budget then find a venue and choose the wedding date based on venue availability. Many venues are booked until 2023. Then as AJ suggests, start looking for vendors based on reviews. There are so many helpful online timelines for wedding planning.

Do you have a venue booked yet? Your profile says October 2021, but you will almost definitely not be able to get a contract on such short notice.

You got very lucky! Do you have a dress yet? It takes several months to make a gown, so you may want to look at sample gowns or ordering something online ASAP.

My matron of honor bought me a planner book, and it has been a huge saver! I added a link for some on amazon, some local stores or etsy may have cheaper ones too.

Having a guidelines just helps start. Biggest thing in all of the planning is your budget! I chose that step in the middle and had to cut a lot of stuff I really wanted but just was not realistic.

    Hope this helps Smiley smile

    Oooh girl! Where to start!

    1. You need a notebook! Buy a really cute one and start writing down what you want. Example: Indoor wedding, 50 guests approx., Budget -5k, Church wedding, hall reception.. Wedding party: Bride/Groom + 4 bridesmaids/groomsmen each (or NONE), Italian food, DJ, Cake, No alcohol, No floral, candle centerpieces, Photographer (brother, Mike) etc..

Write down your thoughts first - discuss an ideal date with your Fiance and send out Save the Dates FIRST while you take the time to plan the rest of your deets. Save the Dates lets the people who are invited, to block off that DAY just for you and to start planning their travel/work/vacation schedules around your day! If you need help with everything and making a list of what steps need to be taken ... sign up for a wedding website to help you through it. theknot.com helped me A LOT! Let me know if you need more help. I LOVED planning my own
