Need Help With Air Bnb Wedding

There’s a search criteria on air bnb that says ‘functions allowed’ or something similar. I’d use this filter to narrow down which hosts are ok with functions and then I’d message them individually explaining what you have in mind. Some may charge you more or charge a cleaning fee. Good luck!

I had my wedding at an Airbnb in October of 2020 with 7 guests (including us). It was SO much work. My mom and I spent hours the day before the wedding moving furniture that we didn’t want in photos, putting up garland, etc. My mom made it really nice by renting chiavari chairs and buying nice china to use for the dinner, but this all added to the setup. Also, the A/C broke on the second floor (in Florida), which caused a lot of problems (it all ended up working out and they gave us a 50% discount, but still super stressful).


I’m planning my bigger reception for my one year anniversary at a hotel for 75 people and I think it’s going to be so much less work and more fun. The hotel that I’m hosting my reception at is now offering elopement packages and I’ve seen a bunch of hotels also offering them. Then they do all the work! Just something to think about!
