Hi Ladies!
I was wondering if anyone has been successful in covering up high pigmentation/acne scars on their backs without ruining their dress?
I love my dress and the fact that it’s backless but my back could use some help.
Did anyone try any peels that helped lighten the dark spots?
I already have make up that can cover it up but I’m afraid the sweat will smudge it on the dress.
attaching photo of the back of the dress.

thank you!

Hi! I’m so happy to hear that you can also get some tips from this thread! It’s a constant battle between loving myself as I am and wanting to look perfect for my special day. I wear backless jumpsuits and dresses all summer and don’t flinch but when I think about my wedding it sets me off 😩 and then I try to come up with ideas on how to cover it up

Thanks! Yes I went to the derm before and they just prescribed acne exfoliation pads, which work on lighter spots but I’ve been using them for over a year and don’t see the improvement I want on darker spots yet. Other option is to pay $700 for dermabrasion but I don’t wanna risk more scarring

Hi! Thank you💕 it took me so long to find the one! I work in fashion and am super picky but also didn’t feel like traditional wedding dresses were for me (I tried on over 25 gowns 😩)
I found this one from designer called Needle & Thread they actually do ready to wear and then I found out they make some non traditional bridal gowns like this one Smiley smile

I used a cream called Porcelana. It works great. Could literally see a huge difference after 2 to 3 days of use. Also found an Awesome foundation called dermacol. Once it dries completely use a little setting spray and nothing except a warm soapy wash cloth will get it off.

Oh man that's a lot of money. I have heard that it works but I don't know if $700 is worth it. For the dark spots, I've used 2different bleaching gels. 1) Triluma it's my favorite & works amazing but it has retenal in it so I can't be out in the sun for prolonged periods & I've been running this summer 2) Hydroquinone, it works ok & doesn't have retenal in it so that's the one I've been using this summer

Your dress is beautiful! My makeup artist said that airbrush makeup is great for covering scars and won’t smudge off onto clothing

At this point I'm just repeating what everyone else is saying--your dress is gorgeous and scars are part of being human! But I also 100% understand not wanting to show it off either. I've heard of "back facials" that may help! I would check out spas in your area that offer facials and ask if they do any other parts of the body as well.

Gorgeous dress! I had chemical burns and scarring from a bad reaction and eczema and did lubriderm for several months and it went away! The dermatologist said sometimes products can dry the skin and make scarring redder so hydrating can help reduce redness.

Your dress is SO gorgeous btw! The iridescent is amazing 🤩😍 you look beautiful in it!!

I feel that! I think it's because we know all eyes will be on us that day and LOTS of pictures! So the pressure is a bit more intense than usual.

Beautiful dress! I go to an esthetician for a facial whenever I can, and she does back "facials" too, I had one once and found it helpful since it's so hard to reach those areas! I would recommend checking it out, they may be able to help over the next year with scar fading.
