Hey there....so I am wondering how your wedding went? I saw it was May 29th and I have booked with Kapturly for my wedding on July 30th but no one is emailing me back. After I booked around beginning of May I believe, they told me someone would be in contact within 1 week and I have heard nothing from anyone. I did email them multiple times and still nothing so I am very concerned. Please let me know if you had this issue or how your experience was!

Hi Abbey. The wedding went quite well. The videographer and photographer were both on time and communicated well. Kapturly was also very responsive, more so in the first weeks of my time working with them.

Have you tried calling them? I've had the best luck with that. I know it's a bit of a pain, but be sure to write down with whom you speak and follow up in an email until you get your photographer/videographer. Then switch to contacting with the photographer/videographer directly. If they are not responsive, be sure to let Kapturly know. Our first assigned photographer hadn't actually accepted the job, so when we reached out to him a few weeks before our wedding, he had no idea who we were.

I looked into Kapturely. it's a fairly new company that tries to sell wedding packages nationwide. The big problem is they don't have their own network of photographers and videographers in every area so they often sell the photo/video packages and then they scramble to find someone to shoot the wedding. And as has been mentioned by others, it will likely be an inexperienced photographer / videographer and someone kapturely has had zero previous experience with. Not worth the risk in my opinion. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Thank you so much for the information. I have emailed someone several times with no real help so maybe they just haven't had anyone assigned to me yet? It is just a bit stressful. I do remember texting someone named Dillon so I will give her a call tomorrow because she was very sweet and helpful when I first talked to her before I paid the deposit and everything. I will make sure to keep you all updated on my experience as well!!

I have had an awful experience with Kapturly. I booked them after communication with Dillion and Avery (kapturly manager) and then was told that my team would be assigned within 1 week. After 12 days- they assigned me a team- and then was told that the photographer and videographer would reach out to me within 1 week to get things started. 9 days later, the photographer reached out to me and said “wait, your wedding is on a Tuesday? I’m not available on weekdays, sorry. Kapturly will need to assign you a new photographer.” Oh, okay that’s great- so after this long, you accepted the event but didn’t actually pay attention to the date that the wedding was on, and I still had no communication from the videographer at this point. Luckily, I was still within the 30 days after booking so I was able to cancel and get my deposit back but that was a nightmare trying to communicate with any of them. I had an unsure feeling about it in the first place as I had only seen reviews of them trying to scramble to get in-experienced people to take wedding photos after they pay the deposit but I went with it. I’m glad I did - so now at least I know I wouldn’t want to use them for my wedding.

Dillon is SOOOOO pushy, it makes me think twice. I may just take a leap of faith and cross my fingers I don't get an intern or photographer who's never shot a wedding before because the price is incredible, but Dillon specifically is part of the reason I'm holding back until I hear more first-hand experience good or bad on here.

They are pretty much a scam.
You book with them and then they try to find photographers/videographers in your area and hire them as contractors. But you have no idea who they are, or what their portfolio is.
My wedding is July 9th. I booked them for videography on May 4th. They didn't find a videographer till June 2nd and then he canceled on me 2 weeks later because it was too far. Then the other videographer they assigned ghosted me.
It's one week before the wedding and they still haven't assigned a videographer for me.
Right now my fiance and I are fighting to end the contract and get our money back.
Whatever you do, don't book with them.
