Need suggestions on inexpensive wedding venues

Shorthy618, on May 7, 2019 at 3:14 AM Posted in Florida Planning 0 14
Hey everyone! So I’m in nursing school on a budget, trying to find a nice venue between Tampa and Orlando. Is it really impossible to find a beautiful venue that has both a nice outdoor ceremony area and an indoor reception area to fit 200-250 people? I’m trying to go as inexpensive as I can, preferably bring in my own finds of caterers, byob, etc. I love barn or waterviews. My fiancé is from Florida but all my peoples would have to be flying in from all over. Any other suggestions for vendors would be great. Thanks in advance!

It could be tough to find a place to accommodate a group that large on a smaller budget. Have you looked into getting married in a park and having your reception in a hall of some sort? Think VFW, Elks Clubs, firehouse?

I know the budget won’t be super small but hoping it wouldn’t be in the 5 digits just for the venue alone! I’m open to whatever but I’m not from the area so I really don’t know how to even start. Was hoping I could get some suggestions on here

200 guests + inexpensive don’t go together. Also, if guests travel you really need to provide a full meal, not just a cake & punch reception which I would normally recommend on a very tight budget. Cheapest meal catering (BBQ, Mexican, Italian) will run $10-$20 per person, that’s already $2K-$4K for 200 guests. Is that ok?

I figured the bulk of my money will go towards food. I didn’t want to spend a lot on the venue alone.

I’m Vietnamese. I want to feed my guests in the traditional family style multi-course cultural meal. With 200 people, that alone can run me up 10k. So I need an inexpensive venue.

Look into community centers. Most have a nice indoor area, and the ones here are usually next to a park for the outdoor part.

Crystal Ballroom is gorgeous and I know that they include decor and you can bring in your own catering. They also have multiple locations between Orlando & Tampa......also Imperial Design Banquet Hall in Orlando is another beautiful venue that has a lot of all inclusive options.

Check out the Tavares Pavillion. You bring in most of your own stuff and on weekdays they allow you to rent each space hourly instead of paying for a whole day for the whole venue. Its pretty too!

I'm also looking at Armature Works and Orlo House in Tampa. Less freedom on the catering there, but they do let you pick from a few options. They aren't super cheap but cheaper than some other options I've found.
