So I bought my dress in a size 2 petite just in July. I tried a 4 on and it was pretty bug on me. The girl helping me recommended I buy a 2. I'm currently wearing a size 4 in pants/shorts and am worried because im realizing that the 4 I tried on was probably stretched out from it being a sample. So...

You look awesome!! Has the dress come in yet? And I am in your boat! I just have "skinny fat" to lose. The top part is like tank top, so my shoulder blades look a little chubby haha. It doesn't feel tight but it just looks like that unfortunately. The dress fits, I just want it to fit better. How tall are you? that 6 pound difference looks amazing! I have 8 months!! Honestly haven't started lol. My work out schedule has been so wonky.

EDIT: I just realized this post is from last year and you got married THIS August. How did this make it back on the recent discussions??? LMAO. Congrats on your day!

Is it too late to go back to the bridal shop and order at least a size up? I'm a size 2 and I had to order a size 10! (mainly because of my breast size). You current body type now based on your original photo looks like you can fit into the dress. I would wait until your dress comes in and see if it fits. When is it expected to come in so you can do your fitting?

Edit: oh wow, I really should pay more attention to the DATE the discussion posted. lol

I'm there. My wedding is in three months the consultant had me try on a 6 not realizing the dresses stretch out I ordered a 6 because it fit like a glove. Well the dress came in and didn't fit. I have lost some weight and can zip it but if I over do it in Hawaii (destination elopement) before the big day I'm in trouble. I'm actively working out to lose another 5lbs to give me a cushion of room. I try my dress on every month to make sure I on track. Good luck.

I’m definitely in that same boat, down to the size. I tried my dress on in a size 4 and it almost fit, but was lose. As it’s a strapless ball gown you really need it to fit.

The consultant pulled the dress in at the sides to demonstrate how a size 2 would probably fit and it was definitely tight, but at the time I figured that’s just how it’s supposed to be. Now I’m a bit concerned that maybe i am supposed to be able to breathe freely xD. My dress should be here the middle of next month so I’ll see how it fits then.

In addition, my wedding is t for a year and a half xD I have to at least stay the same size because if I gain any weight or mass it definitely won’t fit haha.
