Need wine corks

Irchykk, on June 29, 2012 at 7:37 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 18

Does anyone know where I can get some really cheap wine corks? Or does anyone live close to Central/North NJ and have bunch of corks, PM me please...

Looking to make something similar to below picture, but also attaching lottery tickets to the place cards.... both pictures are below, & I am just combining them.

$8 for 30. They are plain so you can put your own writing on them.

Or you can probably get a local bar or restaurant to save them for you. Depending on how many you need, it shouldn't take long.

I work at a restaurant that collects all the corks so maybe you can call your local italian restaurants?

Ebay is probably your best bet, you'll be able to fine a bunch an not have to worry about collecting over time.

Maybe the U-brew places would sell them?

I would just buy a little basket from the dollar store, go to you local olive garden, ask to speak to the manager, and ask if you can leave your basket with them to fill up with corks. Give them your name and phone number and tell them you will come once a week to empty the basket unless they call you and you need to come more often. You should have 100 in no time (and for free)

I think Hayley's idea is the best bet. If I could drink wine right now I'd save corks for you, ah but I still have another month before my little one comes out.

Thank you ladies for all the awesome ideas..

Dawn, I was just going to put a newer looking pwnny, and started telling FH babe we need to start saving nicer looking pennies. And he told me to go to the bank and see if they have it. I had no idea I can just go and ask for 2012 roll of pennies... I thought they all just mixed up in a roll but he said thats what he did when he opened his restaurant and he still has it.. so to the banks I will start going this week...

@ Irchykk - I tried calling 3 banks and my sister called 2. they said no way to order because they come all mixed up in the rolls. Let me know if you find a bank that can get them. as of right now I have a call out to the RI lotto office to see if they can hook me up with the lotto scratchers they have. If not its just shiny penny town for me.

ETA: I just bought 6 rolls off of Ebay.

The best used wine cork supplier is used wine corks

This supplier has all kind of used wine corks: french wines, never used wine corks, champagne corks, etc etc....

Take a look at used wine corks and will be surprised by the variety and prices.
