Needing help doing ceremony without help

Arielle, on June 3, 2021 at 10:55 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
Hi ladies!

My husband and I are renewing our vows 7/11 this year and we are stuck on how to run the ceremony.
We eloped last year because of covid since it caused us to cancel our wedding…but now we want to have as close of a wedding as we can.
We just picked a venue for the venue…there is no help or anything. We have a bartender, caterer, decorations, etc…
We didn’t hire a Day of Coordinator because it just wasn’t in the budget.
I have 6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen…my husband and I are both without parents because our mothers are too ill to attend and our fathers have passed 8+ years ago.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

My husband and I are redoing literally everything. We will have a bridal party, first dance, photographer, videographer etc. We said traditional vows at our minimony but we will write our own vows for our upcoming big wedding. Have you thought about cake or desserts? the processional and recessional music?

I am with you girl. We did a minimony last year in lieu of our April 2020 wedding. My parents are 200 miles away and my husband's father passed away and his mother is in a nursing home. I'm now picking through our wedding plans trying to figure out what to do for our September wedding. We cut transportation, DJ, coordinator and went as simple as possible with a spotify playlist basic catering and a cupcake for a desert.

Hi there, I have the same issue with my ceremony our ceremony is outside. Here’s what I’m doing maybe this will be of any help. Are you able to set anything up the night before? If no are you and your bridal party able to set up the morning of? I know it’s not ideal trust me I know but it’s the only way I could think of getting it done. For me I’m going at 7am to set up for my ceremony outside. I allotted from 7am-9am to do that. I don’t really think it’ll take that long but just to be cautious. Then from 9am-10am everyone is to go back home or to the hotel and shower. Then meet at the hair salon at 11am. Our hair and make up is 11am-1pm. Our ceremony starts at 3:00pm. I hope this helps. This is a good question I’m curious to see the answers maybe I can get a few ideas too lol

It sounds like you have a lot of the big things taken care of! We’re doing the same thing (wedding last year/reception and vow renewal this year). Maybe you can ask a close friend who isn’t in the bridal party to organize everyone before the ceremony? Are you going to have anyone “officiate”? We are having my aunt/godmother officiate just so it runs smoothly even though it is just a vow renewal.
