Needing help planning.

Valerye, on March 8, 2021 at 10:48 PM Posted in Planning 0 2
I am confused! I’m planning this wedding and I have no help! My fiancé wants me to plan the wedding because it’s a day about me, but I’m struggling. We are both young, but we have been together for 2 years. When he get married, we will be together for 3 years. I have been trying and trying to prepare myself for this wedding. I have asked for help from my stepmom (she doesn’t like the fact we’re getting married), my fiancé’s stepmom (she didn’t really have much of a wedding because her husband was getting deployed), and I can’t ask my mom because she’s in prison Smiley sad.. I’m currently in college and I’m taking care of our 4 month old son. What do I do? I am screaming for help right now. We would like to get married next year in August, but the ways it looks, we might just get married in the court house and just call it done. I would love to have my princess moment and I would love for my dad to walk me down the aisle, but from the looks of it, we’re not going to have a wedding and we’re not going to have our day Smiley sad .. I need advice ASAP !

Hi Valerye! You should absolutely be able to still have a princess moment and a memorable wedding day!!

Is planning help the only issue? Or does budget also play a factor?? If you just need help I'd definitely recommend hiring a wedding planner! If budget is also a factor, I'd focus on planning an incredible intimate wedding ceremony with something simple like cake and champagne to follow!

First things first you should take a look at Chapel Dulcinea! It's a stunning ceremony venue in Austin that works with all budgets. It might also be helpful to work with an elopement / micro wedding planner who is used to handling all the details of an intimate event! Everlasting Elopements, Wandering Weddings, and Simply Eloped are all well-reviewed companies to check out!

If he's not willing to provide input, stop all planning. You are not marrying yourself so he needs to step up and help you.

What help do you need? If cost is an issue, figure out the most important parts that you care about. You can get married in a park inexpensively.
