Nerd Needs Help With Wedding Cake!

My fiance and I are both huge nerds! One of his most rampant nerdisms is a love of Transformers(He has a very large collection)! As an omage to that I came up with the idea of replicating our family using Transformers. I want to put them on a cake somehow. Most of our wedding dessert will actually be cupcakes but I would like to have a small cake with these little guys on top. I'm at a loss As to how to set them up though! Any ideas would be awesomely helpful!

How about a cutting 4-6" cake with a small cookie transformer bride and groom / rest of family (kids, dogs, cats, etc) on top? It is understated and nerdy.
