Never been to a tanning salon but want to look a little tanned for my wedding

CountryBride, on July 29, 2021 at 5:08 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 10

I am about 8 months away from my wedding and after looking at photos I feel like going to a tanning salon would be best to get a little darker as right now I am pale white and when I try to tan I burn. How do I go about getting the tan I want without burning? do I have enough time before my wedding? and any tips as I have never tanned before thank you so much

You definitely have time if you want to use tanning beds, the salon itself should be able to recommend a plan for getting your desired color. I would recommend getting a spray tan instead, if it's just for the one day, it's much safer and you can do it a couple times before hand throughout the months to make sure you like the color.

I agree with Ashlee, I would absolutely go for a spray tan well in advance and see if you can achieve the colour you'd like that way. Tanning beds are dangerous and I would avoid them.

You definitely have enough time. I’ve never done a spray tan before out of fear of looking orange, but I’ve seen some that turn out great! I have done tanning beds (I know, not good for you 😬) and if that’s the route you decide to go I would say start about 2 months before and start with like 4-5 minutes a day, then work your way up to whatever the max is. I wouldn’t fo every day, every other day should be good. And I wouldn’t recommend going the week leading up. But maybe try one now just to see if you like it. If you don’t then just stick with a spray tan or self tanner.

I know you posted you were pregnant so I would not recommend chemical products and definitely not tanning salons.

I completely agree with Sunshine, as I do remember your post about you being pregnant, and would highly recommend against doing either one.

Ask for the clear spray that fades to tan. It’s way more natural looking. It also does better on light skin. Do a test run though!!!

If you plan on doing any breastfeeding or even pumping I still highly suggest against doing either one.
