Do you always buy a physical gift off the registry? Or do you prefer to give the gift of cash? đź’µWhether it's cash or a check, we want to know if you've ever given money as a gift! I've only given money as a gift. Once in a red envelope to my cousin, and once for a honeymoon fund.

Nope. I normally give a gift card to kohl’s or Bed Bath and beyond.

I have ONLY given cash as a wedding gift! Physical presents for a wedding isn’t really a thing here!

Physical items at the bridal shower, cash/ check at the wedding. I assumed this was traditional? That’s what my whole family does

I really prefer to give a physical gift. If the couple only has a honeyfund or no registry (or registry picked over), its usually a gift card to a store/restaurant that we know they use frequently. Its just a lot easier for us to get a gift card then get to our nearest ATM (or wait for a check to be cashed). Also, we depend on CC points to get us to weddings, and buying gift cards helps us more in that department!

I never have either, but I'm hoping to only get cash or checks as gifts to help fund our honeymoon.

I always give cash as a gift for a wedding. I will also gift something from the registry if invited to the shower.

Never cash. In our area/ family and in my husband's family, cash is never given except by older family members to younger ones. And we are neither old enough, nor do we have the cash.

Yes! IMO no one has ever fussed about being given gash as a gift lol, so I think it's totally acceptable.

I love buying presents. My friends and I have friends-mas every year and exchange presents and we all do such a good job of getting each other the kind of gifts that make us feel like we know each other so well. We always cry LOL. So that being said, when a friend or close family member gets married, I go all out. When someone I don't know very well gets married, I check the registry. I've never done cash UNLESS they specifically asked (usually in a cute way on a details card) for it for their honeymoon. Smiley smile

I usually include a little bit of cash along with a gift off the registry for my close family and friends.
