Never have I ever... given cash as a wedding gift

I give both cash and gifts.

I've never even given a wedding gift! I'm not big on gift giving.

Nope. We always try to do something personal that is also on their registry.

I've never heard of giving cash at weddings, nor would I ever do so. In my family/circle of friends, you give money (and a gift they enjoy) for kids' birthdays only and always get a gift from the registry for a wedding.

In my family and circle of friends/acquaintances as well as FH's, cash gifts are unheard of for any event, be it a wedding or a birthday. A gift from the registry that you can afford is always purchased. The "covering your plate" is not a thing. If the couple doesn't register, then you still bring a physical gift but it might not be something they want.

I always give cash !
