Never Take Your Husband For Granted

I am stunned and feel empty right now. I don't really post here that much, and I doubt anyone really knows, but my husband lost his battle with liver cancer. No, when we married we did not know he had cancer-he was diagnosed just a few months after our 1st anniversary. I never dreamed I would have...

I am stunned and feel empty right now. I don't really post here that much, and I doubt anyone really knows, but my husband lost his battle with liver cancer. No, when we married we did not know he had cancer-he was diagnosed just a few months after our 1st anniversary. I never dreamed I would have waited until I was 50 to marry the best man ever, only to lose him 2 years later. I feel as though life is ending right now.

I do not mean to bring tragic news to such a happy place as this. However, treasure your future spouses. Honor them, cherish them, do not waste one minute with them by being foolish. Life is so very short, and that person can be taken from you so very quickly. Always let your spouse know you love them-every day, whenever you talk to them. Let them know they have made your world a better place by simply being a part of your life. I wish every person here a lifetime of love and happiness with their partner.

    Wow....this just puts all this wedding planning into perspective. We have to maintain that the real reason for all this is that we love these men and women and we want to be with them.

    We have to cherish these moments.

    My condolences go out to you and your family. I'll be praying that God will comfort you. Thank God he had you to spend the rest of his life with and I'm sure you are thanking God that you could be there for him.

    Thank you so much, ladies. I do treasure your thoughts and prayers, and I am so blessed to have family (both of his and mine) and good friends at this time. And I do feel as though I was blessed beyond measure by having the husband I did, even if only for a brief time. He was far more than anything I could have asked for or imagined.

    Michelle,

    There are no words that I can say that will take away your pain and there is no way that I can begin to know what you are going through. I can however tell you this, women lime you are an inspiration. You took this devastating situation and rather than let it shut you down completely, you used it to pass on the best advice that anyone can take to heart. You have told everyone to value their loved ones and let's face it, we all need to be reminded. I thank you Michelle and if you pm me anything you need, I will do what I can to help. God bless

    OMG I am so sorry for your loss! Definitely can't imagine what you are going through - thoughts and prayers are with you and thank you for the advice. I'm sure a lot of people tend to forget that we aren't always granted tomorrow.

    I am so very sorry for your loss just as everyone else has said. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. Also, thank you for the reminder. Sometimes with everyday life, we forget that but it's so important to cherish our loved ones and not take them for granted.

    Wow, I'm so sorry to hear about your DH Michele. I wish that we could somehow heal your broken heart..I can't imagine what you are going through..my mom passed away when I was a child and was happily married to my dad (at that young age I didn't really of course understand the true bond of love between spouses like I do now)..It's so true that we should focus on each day we have with our loved ones..don't worry about making WW a sad place..We are all glad that you reached out to us and are so sorry. Try to take that love and happiness you have with your husband and carry it with you throughout each day in the future..in that way he'll always be with you.
