Never Take Your Husband For Granted

I am stunned and feel empty right now. I don't really post here that much, and I doubt anyone really knows, but my husband lost his battle with liver cancer. No, when we married we did not know he had cancer-he was diagnosed just a few months after our 1st anniversary. I never dreamed I would have waited until I was 50 to marry the best man ever, only to lose him 2 years later. I feel as though life is ending right now.

I do not mean to bring tragic news to such a happy place as this. However, treasure your future spouses. Honor them, cherish them, do not waste one minute with them by being foolish. Life is so very short, and that person can be taken from you so very quickly. Always let your spouse know you love them-every day, whenever you talk to them. Let them know they have made your world a better place by simply being a part of your life. I wish every person here a lifetime of love and happiness with their partner.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I cannot beging to imagine what you are going through. I want to thank you for putting things into perspective though. Lots of time we live life and think nothing is going to happen to change how things are. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Michele, you have my deepest sympathy for your tragic loss. People always say how sorry they are and how messages like this cause us to be more conscious of how we shouldn't take anything for granted and for a while we don't, but inevitably, some of us sink back into the routine of everyday and end up doing exactly what we say we won't. My God sister lost her husband suddenly this past Saturday and it caused me to redouble the effort I make to show FH how much he means to me and though I know that nothing can make the pain go away, I hope knowing that her tragic loss coupled now with yours I pray deeply will always be at the forefront of my mind and my heart and serve as a reminder when he frustrates me or I feel like I might want to criticize him for something insignificant, that there is a possibility that I could look beside me and find an empty space. You are in my prayers. Stay strong and thank you so much for thinking of others, wanting to impart wisdom despite your pain.

When I clicked on this post, I did not know what to expect. Yet, as I read it, the tears rolled down my face. For only a brief second, I thought of myself in your situation. My heart is pouring out prayers to you tonight. Your message has touched me and I thank you for that as well. My only prayer for you is to feel yourself under the wings of that angel that is with you at this time.

I am so sorry to read of the passing of your husband. I have nothing to say that can make you feel better, other than the fact that, he had you in his life when he needed the person who truly loved him.

Sending my best thoughts your way.

Thank you Michele G. I think that is a very important thing for people to know, sometimes people get so caught up in tiny things. they fight and bicker, every night I tell FH I love him. And we go to bed, even if we're a bit mad about something, we wake up and 90 % of the time realise we love each other to death and should never have fought.

I am sorry for your loss, but happy you had those 2 years and that he found the love of his life before he passed away.

Please accept my condolences for the loss of your husband. However, just know that this post is helping every bride who reads it. Whether or not they post.

A Psalm of Thanksgiving. Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100
