You might wanna try the mountains in Ma and NH. Loon, Wachusetts, ragged, sugar loaf etc... Or a local lake/ pond that has camp grounds and bring your Officiant and family Smiley smile

There are a few nice resorts in the White Mountains in NH. Just curious why you don't want a B&B?

They exist I have one in San Antonio. They are becoming more and more popular across the country. You may want to check on wedding planners that specialize in elopement packages they are also getting to be more common. In addition to googling wedding ceremony only venues in your area.

Are you looking for something specific? I'd suggest looking into the Interlaken Inn in CT. It's beautiful and has generous packages for both elopements and small intimate weddings. Not sure if this falls under your category of a B&B though.

Ideally we hoped there would be something more fitting on the coast or at least with a water view. The "old inn" idea just isn't us, we enjoy the modern hotels with amenities and private dining. Thank you so much for your suggestions so far !

It's not on the coast but Sugarbush Resort in Vermont is a GORGEOUS ski resort. We went to a summer wedding there and the ceremony was on top of the mountain.

Saybrook Point Inn in Old Saybrook, CT is on the water. It's a larger hotel, not a small "inn" per se, and has a spa, banquet room, and very nice a la carte restaurant. I'm sure they can put a package together with the ceremony on the water and a nice meal at the restaurant. The Madison Beach Hotel in Madison, CT has a similar set-up I believe.

I'm from Burlington, VT so I'm biased. But Hotel VT has elopement options and the hotel is beautiful and modern, as well as being directly across the road from Lake Champlain. There are also gorgeous views of the White Mountains and the Adirondacks. Good luck!

You could check out the boutique hotels in Newport, RI. There are some beautiful ones and you'll be right on the water. It may be expensive though, because ya know, Newport.
