Haha! This thread is great! I think if you need balloon handlers, like in the Macy's parade, your hat MIGHT be too big!

But, I want to point out that the "80s" dresses were the style for the time! Not ugly at all....in fact, my first wedding gown was like the one posted, just not quite as poofy. Mark my words, no matter how beautiful or timeless we think our gowns are today, 20 years from now, people will be making fun of them!

I think some of these women kinda missed the point of a blusher veil. And some of them missed the point of wearing clothes at all. Isnt the nudity supposed to wait until the honeymoon?

Tatiana, that wedding with the bm's in orange dresses, i think i would have politely declined the invitation. Then ran like hell.

Alisa, I totally understand what you are saying about fashion trends, not personally meaning to step on toes. I'm sure a lot of people would get a kick out of my Momma in 1968 in her pillbox hat/veil. Daddy never let her forget the green velvet "getaway" dress and orange platform mary janes, either.

I pray to God, in 20 years, my dress doesn't end up here... it is unconventional, to say the least.
