New Last Name/signature

Anyone else have or currently having problems learning to write their new last name? I am getting married in June and I started practicing today just for kicks and it’s a disaster! I keep writing my maiden name from muscle memory. Then when I do write his last name it never looks the same twice!

LOL this thread made me giggle. My maiden name has 9 letters, FHs has 5. I've written it down just to see how it looks. I get all the feels when I see my first name and his last name together. Smiley love

    ^^^^^ this is awesome!

I have not tried my new name, odds are I won't even try. I usually start with j-e-n and then it turns into a big old mess.

I had to look up the cursive capital G I literally didn't know how to do it. It's still the worst part of my signature.

My current signature is an L followed by a scribble and I realized I can actually do my new name an R followed by the same scribble, lol. (I have terrible handwriting)

Mine is SO much easier now....My maiden name was 14 letters (and a hyphen) long, and my new last name is 4!!!

I sometimes joke that the only reason I got married was to change my name lol

Oh gosh I didn’t practice before we went to the courthouse at all!
I work at a job where we have to initial EVERYTHING and I was crossing out& correcting my own initials for a month 😭

My current sig is mostly illegible, but you can definitely see the K to start my first name, and I like the way that I write the A in my last name - kind of looks like a star. The rest of it is squiggles and bumps, lol.

My new last name will begin with O'M and I'm having the hardest time with it. The way I write my caps of those letters is not compatible.

I was married July 2, 2017 and I practiced my new last name for months prior to the wedding. I am finally able to write it and it look pretty good. Definitely practice so you get the hang of it.

I pretty much just write out my initials for my signature now since my last name has 11 letters. My FH's last name has 4. I think I'm just going to write out my first name and new last initial for my new signature. I'm sure over time it will change.

I only ever sign my first name (just a scribble so no one knows) so new last name didn’t matter 😂

When I write my new last name it looks bad 😂 All the letters I'm bad at writing happen to be in my new ln-R's are so hard for me

I am a Special Ed teacher and use/write/sign my name all the time. I’ve started practicing quite a bit even though our wedding is in August. Somehow going from 5 letters to 8 is a huge difference in a signature.

Oh my gosh I just tried it. It's awful. And I really had to think about how to write those cursive letters
