Just read an article about changes to marriage license issuance and was hoping someone could clarify. What will this mean for us? Do we not even need a marriage license? We are from Mississippi but having our ceremony in Alabama.

Your best bet would be to call the clerk's office in the county where you will be married for clarification.

I'm in the same boat! We live in Tennessee but will be getting married in Alabama as well. I'm going to call the country clerk's office in Alabama & in Nashville (where I live) when it gets closer to time for our wedding to make sure everything will still be "legal" in Tennessee since I'll have to apply for a new social security card, etc. here.
