Hi everyone

Just wanted to introduce myself really! I live in the UK but am coming to Las Vegas next year (October 2018) to get married, yay!

We haven't booked anything yet because we're coming over in November to visit venues and put some deposits down.

There are a few favourites so far though so if anyone has experience of any of these that would be helpful.

Ceremony: likely to be the Caesars Palace Venus Garden. I really love the Wynn salons & garden but hate that you can't take your own photographer, even for a fee.

Reception: Maggiano's

Photography: Susie & Will (doing an engagement shoot with them in November)

Video: Imagine Studios or SK Media

Also looking like we will have a party bus to take guests off around the strip for 2 hours whilst we have our photos taken.

Also looking at Freed's for our cake.

Considering The Grove but we're undecided on going 'off strip'.

Look forward to planning on here!

Vegas gets tough, since it is a HUGE wedding destination. It seems like everyone has those set-in-stone packages, and even though that $300 fee isn't ideal, that's great you still have an option to bring in your photographer, because I am also particular about that. I ran into a similar issue when I started looking into booking our Hawaii wedding, fortunately we escaped having to book a set package!

I've been to some beautiful weddings in Las Vegas. My favorite was at the MGM, but you cannot go wrong with Caesar's Palace, which is a gorgeous property in general. Welcome to WW, and happy planning!

Thanks for all the advice ladies. Unfortunately MGM ate another one that just won't budge on photographers and I'm set on mine.

    Thanks Rachel Smiley smile

I love it so much. It is so detailed in real life, I'll have to put some photos up of the beading. It was a sample so the seamstress in the shop had to re-sew on lots of the beads, apparently it took about 7 hours!

I'm glad to have found something so different, but nobody has seen it yet so I hope they love it as much as I do.

@LittleOne first let me say your dress is beautiful and congratulations!

I'm getting married at Caesars Palace this September. Our ceremony is in the Venus Garden and reception is there too at Rao's Italian Restaurant.

FYI It usually takes a few days to get responses back from the wedding coordinator and the food and beverage department. Since your date is so far out they may never reply. I was told they book out only 6 months in advance. Since Vegas restaurants and selections are always changing they won't book to far in advance.

Maggianos has good food and they probably don't overcharge you for everything like the hotel restaurants do but you're missing that Vegas experience. I see the pros and cons to both.

We paid the fee for the outside photographer. We looked at aria and Caesars both hotels require you use their vendors or you pay a fee. That includes cakes and floral.

For hair and makeup I was given a name by a friend. I will probably do a trial with her on Friday before the wedding. Caesars salon also has options. And there's an app called beGlammed. You can set up your appointment with them they come to your room.

I've used the app for a party this past May and will use it this month as well. They have stylists in Vegas too.

I will definitely post here after the wedding with some tips and advice.

    @sourshoes

I hope you report back after your wedding as the Venus Garden is our no.1 so far. We're been quite lucky with the coordinators there so far and have booked an appointment to visit in November when we're over.

We probably will have a better idea of numbers by 6 months out so that's ok - also we will know how much we are left with in the budget.

Looking forward to hearing all about your wedding Smiley smile

    Thanks @windowschick

At the moment we are going to have to go with the top package to hit the F&B minimum. However that includes 4 hour open bar, top food selections, wine with dinner, champagne toast, so probably what we would choose anyway. Did you go anywhere after Maggiano's?

Hi! I'm also getting married in Vegas, this year on October 3rd. My fiancée and I have been to Vegas and have seen a lot of the venues in person, but when it came to choosing one we still changed our minds a million times so it's good you've done all that research.

Caesar's Palace is beautiful, and was one of our other top choices after the Aria. However, since I'm also planning from abroad (we're living in China currently) it was important for me to do very little in the way of detail planning. So we went with the Tropicana and one of their package deals, which yes includes a photographer. I do worry about the photography not being up to par, but for the things the package included it was too good to pass up.

Sounds like your plan is pretty solid, hopefully you'll have an easier time picking your venue than we did haha. There's too many good ones. As far as I know for on the strip though, Caesars is the only one that will let you bring your own photographer even for a fee. All the ones I contacted told me they wouldn't allow it.

Hi I have just booked my wedding at Caesars Palace (Sept 2019). I'm new here and struffling with planning, not sure what to plan next? Or when I am supposed to book things.

Maggianos seems to be a firm favourite of everyones, has anybody experienced a reception at The Cheesecake Factory?

Keen to know reviews on Venus Gardens as a venue as we are looking in to it for October 2019...

We have looked at The Barrymore for a meal after but not sure, there is so much choice but as we have a relatively small group hoping we can find somewhere great!

I'm curious how your October wedding at the Caesars Palace turned out? My wedding is on Nov. 10th at their Venus Garden, so excited! I've watched many YouTube videos of all the weddings that have taken place there and it looks gorgeous!

Hi Elle, we actually still haven’t got married! We had some setbacks financially as we decided to buy a house instead. We’re hoping to get married in 2020 now when we have enough money to do some travelling directly after the wedding.

We went out to Vegas last year to look at venues but are now back at square one as we couldn’t decide on a venue!
