New to wedding wire

Welcome and congrats. We are having a wedding in the backyard with 50 people. Renting the tent, tables and chairs in our area was probably one of our biggest bill. It cost us $1300. We are having bbg for dinner which is $16 a plate but his parents are paying for the food. My parents are paying for the cake, if they weren't we were just going to have a small 2 tier cake made and get a sheet cake from tops. We are going to a bulk store and buying pop, water, juice and beer if they have it, instead of bottle wine we are going for boxed. I think if I remember correctly all the drinks are going to cost $700 and hiring a bartender whos a friend. We have our photographer who is also a friend she just started her photography business and we are paying her $500. We got lucky because we found an amazing dj who is only going to cost $800. I made all our decorations and center pieces from dollar tree and looking for sales through out the year. You don't need wedding favors.


You can do a limited bar with just wine and beer that cuts cost. you don't have to have a dj you could use a stereo or speaker system.

View Quoted Comment I was thinking of doing something similar but no one I know has a back yard space I can use however I did find this venue that has ceremony 5hr reception,cocktail hour, open bar, 4 course meal access to the whole place all day it's a micro wedding package all inclusive for 4,500 my fiance and I dont think it's to bad but are also looking for other options.
