Newly engaged!! Wedding will be 2/8/2025

What are some tips to make a wedding budget friendly? We are working with a 10K budget in addition to my dress which will be completely out of my pocket. What is worth splurging versus saving on?

Where is the wedding? Look into city-owned spaces for the venue (will likely have sound system for music) or a friend/family member with a nice property. Only serve h'oderves, beer, and wine.

    **Save on invites and stationery!

    **Digital invitations are good!

**Paper invites - if you really want to do paper, just make your own on Google Slides or Canva with a template from Canva/Sides Mania (you'll be able to find cute, unique formatting that can easily be transformed into a tasteful invitation). Download the final design as a PDF, then turn to png and go into Gdocs/word and insert 3-4 of the images (invitation design) on one page. Then send go to your local FedEx or staples and they can print it out on gloss text paper (they have different materials too but price points vary) print the necessary number of copies then go home and cut them into individual invites or if your printing service store provides It, you could use their paper trimmer before you leave the store - will ensure even cuts as the trimmer is on a precise measurement grid board. This will cost A LOT less than ordering 100 invites for 200$ online.. Note FedEx provides a wedding announcement invite-creating service, but you can do the same thing with their regular printing service as long as you provide the design - .96 cents per page which is .96 per 4 invites. The same process can be done for any other paper item for the wedding.

    **Decor!

Ceremony decor can be simply elegant with just yards of white chiffon, which is a very affordable fabric. You can use it to decorate the aisle and drape it from the ceiling and around the wedding altar. its a very elegant and modern look that could elevate the space. It can also be done this way at the reception.
