HI Carly! Welcome and congrats! My best advice is wedding planning can get stressful and sticker shock is real so don't forget to take times and just enjoy this sweet time together and remember at the end of the day most important thing is your marriage a wedding while lovely is just a day.

As far as cute white outfits go check out Lulu's they have a really cute bridal section! Happy planning!

Congratulations on your engagement! 💍 Id definitely say start with a budget. This gives you & your fiancé the chance to discuss how much you plan to spend and where you want to have your wedding. Most importantly, enjoy your engagement 🙂

    Congratulations on your engagement!!

As for where to start, I agree with Imani - first determine a budget and estimated guest count, and then look for venues that can hold at least the number of guests you plan to invite. From there, look for any other vendors (photographer, DJ, florist, etc) that you may need.

For outfits for bachelorette parties/bridal/showers/engagement parties/etc, check out Amazon or Lulu's! You could also totally wear something you already own to save money if budget is a concern.

If you're interested in subscription boxes, two of the ones that I received (and enjoyed) are The Ring Box and Something New Bridal Box! I got hats, shirts, coffee mugs, wine glasses, Christmas ornaments, water bottles, wedding themed decor, planning tools, and more. I found that I used some, but not all, of the items. If it's something you're interested in, I suggest signing up for a 1-3 month subscription first to see if you think it's worth it, and then renew the subscription if you think it is.

As for gift ideas for wedding party and parents, check out Amazon and Etsy! Shop for them like it's their birthday - a wine lover might enjoy a personalized wine glass, a wine cooler/tote, and a bottle of her favorite wine. A book lover might like a gift card to a book store, a personalized bookmark, and a coffee mug. A person who loves concerts would probably enjoy concert tickets or new headphones and a ticket stub book. It's totally fine to get everyone different things! Other ideas could be tote bags, hangover kits, gift cards, flasks, jewelry, etc.

Also, check out sales at craft stores if you plan to DIY anything! Leave plenty of time if you decide to do any DIY projects, just to give enough time to make adjustments or even start over if it doesn't go well the first time. Try to look at multiple options for everything before making a decision - meet with multiple photographers, look at multiple venues, etc. There is a checklist on both The Knot and WeddingWire that can help keep your planning and budget on track.

    Happy wedding planning!!

I have seen SO many cute white dresses/jumpsuits at TJ Maxx and Marshalls lately, definitely try there if you have them close!

I ALWAYS suggest photo albums of wedding pics as gifts for parents/gparents.
