Newlywed Introduction

Sherry, on March 25, 2019 at 1:55 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 5
Our officiant has sent us a few scripts to go over and edit as we wish for the ceremony. We have everything done except for our introduction. My FH last name is short but different enough and well no one says it right and I really don't want the first time I'm introduced as Mrs. Kumpf to be butchered. We're both drawing a blank as what can be used as an alternative.

We've heard the happy couple, Mr and Mrs, the newlyweds but none of that is doing anything for us....any ideas?

Can you just speak with your officiant beforehand to make sure he pronounces the last name properly?

Exactly my thoughts ^ I don't think I'd rather be announced as anything but "Mr. and Mrs. Hornsby"

I agree with this. You should be able to tell your officiant and your DJ how to pronounce your name and write it out phonetically so they remember. This is pretty common and if they are experienced they should be familiar with this concern and how to practice saying your last name so they don't butcher it.

They keep saying Kumps lol. We do plan on speaking to her and letting her know that she is saying it wrong but I also wanted a backup in case she just can't get it right.

We just did “the newly weds, both of our first names” we didn’t even use a last name, because I’m not taking FH name at this point.
