Just a Random Vent. But, since we got married a few weeks ago everybody keeps asking when are we going to have kids. And It's making me want to pull my hair out. Went to a baby shower the whole 2 hrs my husband and I were basically harassed the whole time lol. "You're next/give me a little...

Went to a baby shower the whole 2 hrs my husband and I were basically harassed the whole time lol. "You're next/give me a little cousin/when are you going to try/you didn't make one on the honeymoon?...I have 3 more baby showers to attend and I'm not looking forward to it. I say all that to ask this..Has this been happening to anyone else and how do you deal with it?.

I told my sister and mom that I have an announcement at our pre-Thanksgiving meal and apparently my entire family in a matter of hours deduced that I'm pregnant.

I just found out my master's thesis research is getting published in a good journal and I'm going to be speaking at my school about choosing research over the clinic. Oh well...

Luckily, DH and I don't get many direct inquiries, but we get a lot of not-so-subtle "hints". Like:

MIL, on my 27th birthday: "You know, I was 27 when I had my first kid..."

(After family friends with young kids visit) "You know, it sure is fun having little kids around..."

We got married on the same day. I've had people ask the same question. I'm 44 it's not ever going to happen. I just laugh and say I'm too old.

Ever since we got engaged! Right now I say "one step at a time" but after the wedding I may need to come up with something else. It's no one's business and with so many couples having trouble getting pregnant, you would think people would have the sense not to ask about things that aren't their business....*sigh.

Luckily I'm 38 so most of my family has given up! LOL!! We went to a Zika location for our honeymoon so we are going there start trying in December. Not telling anyone because I don't want to deal with the questions. Good luck!

My mother asked if "the baby is on it's way" literally two weeks after our wedding. Everyone seems to think we can conceive on demand! I've been on birth control for like seven years and I'm not even ovulating yet, so it's kind of annoying that people think it happens so quickly and easily for everyone. I'd be even more annoyed if we weren't trying or didn't want children-- it's none of anyone's business, and it's old school to assume that everyone gets married just to have kids.

I got the opposite question all the time! I have three kids so every time someone finds out they ask me : THAT'S it right? Did you close the baby factory already? You're not planning to have more right?

I hate when people do that, especially since I probably can never have kids.
