Nexplanon Period in wedding day

Cassie , on September 11, 2018 at 11:39 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 7
Hi all!! So I have had the nexplanon implant for about a year and 3 months!! Despite negative reviews on the internet about it I have had nothing but great reviews coming from myself! Well I get married in 10 days and I just got my period!! I have not had a single period for an entire year and this happens! Anyone in a similar predicament? I have no clue how long it will last but I’m hoping I will have it done by the 22nd! 😅

Hopefully it ends by your wedding day! You could always call your doctor and check in and ask additional questions too. I’m not familiar with the implant.

I’ve had mine for slightly longer and still haven’t had a period! I had the IUD and didn’t have a period for six months then bled daily until I got it out at the year mark. So hopefully it’s no more than the week for you! I’d be so pissed, lol.

I have the nexpalon. I get more like spotting periods either every month or very few months. It can last a week or so but it isnt like a normal heavy period. But everyone is different especially since you have never had it before. I'm sure itll be done by ur wedding!

Ahhh Cassie!! I'm so sorry!!! Periods have a way of always coming at the worst times. I know that a lot of members of our community have experienced the same predicament on their wedding day...

    Period on Wedding Day

    Period on Wedding Day 2

    Period on Wedding Day 3

    Period on Wedding Day 4

...and I could keep going!! Smiley tongue

Also, I've read that sometimes exercise helps your period go away faster (not sure if this is science or something that works for some people but it doesn't hurt to try!). Crossing my fingers that it's gone by your wedding!!!

I have the same one, but mine now last 4-6 days every 2-3 months. So hopefully yours will be around the same length lol

I was on nexplanon for almost exactly same amount of time and then I suddenly got period bleeding that lasted for long periods of time (it was more like constant period rather than having a period once a month). I switched back to the depo shot and the bleed stopped almost immediately. I have been back on the depo for about a year and no periods since.

I have Nexplanon! I didn't have a period for the full first year, then I randomly got one. I get them very randomly now. But they're always so short!

I love Nexplanon. Took a bit to get used to mood wise, but its the best birth control I've ever found.
