nj Corona Brides!

Alexandra, on May 21, 2020 at 6:47 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 1
Hi everyone! I hope you are being safe and healthy! I’m a New Jersey bride for 9/17/20. I just wanted to know if anyone else’s venue is not letting them postpone. My venue said they will not provide a postponement until 6-8 weeks out, which I understand that as things change quick in NJ with less restrictions happening. Is it wrong for me to call them back and ask them for a back up date they have open to start planning in case I need to postpone?

I'm getting married on July 12 and may have to postpone, again. I think we'll know more on June 6, when the current stay-at-home order is reevaluated. At least that's what my venue told me.

Unless there is a second wave, I think September will be ok. Unfortunately, you have to play by the venue's rules right now. If they say 6-8 weeks, the best you can do is have a back-up plan in mind, keep an open dialogue with them, and decide in July. In the meantime, look over your contract and find out what the repercussions are ahead of time.

I was lucky in postponing from early April to July - everyone is just holding my deposits and not charging me anything extra.
