Anyone who RECENTLY changed your name in Nj (past month or two) know if the DMV is still appointment only or if you can just go and wait in line for the license name change? It seems to vary from state to state...thanks in advance!!

Apparently certain offices are taking appointments and others are walk-in: https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/pdf/about/agencies_faq.pdf

I would imagine the appointment would be easier given how long the wait times have been. I changed my name pre-COVID and I was there for about 3 hours to change my name on my license, and it was an off day and a lesser used MVC.

MVC is open you have to do a walk in but you have to go to a license center & be in line at 3 or 4 to get seen that day.
