nj Vendors Pricing

Aniq, on August 13, 2019 at 6:26 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 6
Is having a dj/mc, photo/videographer for $6800 a discount or is that expensive for NJ?

For all that, I think that’s a pretty good deal. We have all of that minus videographer and I think it may even be a little higher than your price.

We found our dj/mc and photographer for around $4000. Photography/videography costs vary greatly depending on how long you'll have them for (getting ready? first look? ceremony, cocktail hour, and entire reception?) and also if it includes prints, a memory book, engagement shoot, etc.

    Hey Aniq!

The WeddingWire cost guide is a super helpful tool when you would like to get an estimate on the average cost of wedding vendors in different locations.

According to the cost guide, in New Jersey, most couples spent between $1,000 - $1,800 on a wedding DJ, with the average cost coming in at $1,500. For wedding photography, most couples spend between $1,800 - $4,000, and on average spend $3,000. Finally, in Northern New Jersey, most couples spend between $1,525 - $3,000 on a wedding videographer, and on average the cost of videography is $2,500.

Have you priced each of them individually? Did you get something similar to the estimates above? This may be the best way to price it out and see if you’re actually making a saving.

Do you like the work of each of the vendors you’ve been priced for? Have you had a chance to check out their work?

Hey Melissa,Megan and Cliodhna, thanks for your replies. I have gone to the office before but I didnt get to meet the photographer/videographer. They are all at one company. So Im going to set a meeting up to make sure everything I want is in the photo/video package.

Hey I have compared the prices separately and comparing to the average packaged vendor of NJ, the vendor is $500 cheaper. But I think I want more of a discount than that. I'm only having 85p at my ceremony/reception, so I feel like I shouldn't be having crazy prices vendors. So I think the search is still on, thanks for everyone's ideas.
