So this venue I found has had some of the most beautiful weddings I've seen online, and I would love to have the same lake backdrop for my ceremony. In the past they've allowed ceremonies on the beach of the lake, and I've seen videos and photos with microphones and speakers. However, they informed me that they are now only offering their tree grove as the ceremony site (which allows everything), and they are waiting for their forest permit to offer the lake site. But they said that in the past, the permit prohibited amplified music and vows (which is confusing because it was clearly ok before). They should get word of an approved permit next year, which is ok for me to wait. But I'm wondering how awkward it is not to have music when you walk down, nor having the vows amplified for your guests to hear. Especially if it's windy! I know live music would probably be ok, but no amplified vows either??? I'm not sure. Their tree grove sight is ok, but the idea of having the ceremony by the lake was the whole reason for this venue, so I'm torn.
Thoughts?
