No bridal Party/processional

Alli, on August 28, 2018 at 8:33 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 7

We dont have a bridal party/flower girl/ring bearer, how did you guys signify for people to stand up for Bride? I imagine my fiance coming in from the side with officiant, then music will change and I will come in.

How did you guys transition and get people to stand/know bride is coming?

I would think the change in music would clue everyone in.

I agree with @Laura. A subtle change in music would signify it's time to stand.

I've also been in a wedding where the officiant nodded to the mother of the bride to stand, which I suppose could be any family member in the front row, because the officiant can see you coming. He can nod to her, she will stand and face you and everyone will take the cue.

People will know, and others will follow.

Hi Allie! I have been to a wedding before where they did not have a bridal party either! As others have said above, there were two different songs and once it switched, we knew to rise. What song are you walking down the aisle to?

I'm in the same boat. We're not having any wedding party. I think we're going to start with the quartet playing 1 song, where officiant walks down the aisle, FH's parents walk down aisle (I won't have family there), and then he walks down the aisle. Then the music will change and I'm going to try to be as dramatic as possible so the quartet can get through at least 1/4 of the song! I'm going to have the officiant gesture, and tell a couple friends to stand up when they hear the music change to cue the others.
