No Bridal Shower?

I don't think I am getting one. would like 1 but I am OK with not having it.

My sister asked my mom to just put forth the money she would have spent on a bridal shower towards the amount my parents was providing her for the wedding. In the a few of our cousins got together plan a little casual BBQ at one of their home to shower my sister, so in the end she still got a little something...but it was seriously no biggie for her not to have one. I knew another bride who said no to bridal shower.

I really didn't want one because I hate being the center of attention but my MOH was not happy about it, I have a strong suspicion she is planning a surprise one anyway lol

I wouldn't expect to have one but if someone did throw me one I wouldn't be against it. I'm not crazy about being the center of attention and I feel awkward receiving gifts so maybe it's good no bridal shower plans have come up.

We aren't having a bridal shower. We are paying for the wedding ourselves, so we took out things we do not really need. Bridal shower is nice, but you have to have the space for everything guests purchase. Plus, more than half of our guests are across the country so it wouldn't be the same.

I'm not having a bridal shower. We are having a very short engagement (2.5 months) so there just wasn't time as most guests are from out of town and wouldn't have worked for everyone's schedules.

I'm having a DW and have had a small uphill battle with my wedding party, family, and family friends about not having one. I just feel like asking them to travel to a DW is enough, I don't need to be showered in gifts too.
