Hello! So I am planning a destination wedding in Savannah, GA for 10/2/20 and we finalized our venue today (yay) but realized there is no bridal suite. Hello! So I am planning a destination wedding in Savannah, GA for 10/2/20 and we finalized our venue today (yay) but realized there is no bridal suite. It is at a hotel, so you're probably thinking no big deal! just get a room for the day before and day of.....except that would be over $1200 which we just don't have right now. So that leads me to my alternative, the wedding party and FH and I are staying at an airbnb the whole weekend and I was thinking the bridesmaids and I can get ready there BUT not everyone staying at the house will be in the bridal party (such as groomsmans significant others). Any suggestions on where to do hair/makeup/pictures without spending an arm and a leg or everyone seeing us before the wedding?? Thank you!!

We completely agree! It’s so frustrating and the place is amazing up until this...it’s seems like they really aren’t willing to work with us because they know the rooms will be booked either way

Have you already booked your hair and makeup artist? Some salons have a private room for wedding parties to get ready in or if you book multiple services for several people you might just end up being the only ones in the salon. The salon I booked recently opened their own "get ready" suite specifically for bridal parties to hang out in.

Our hotel block included the honey moon suite upgrade for 10+ reservations, so we're checking in early and using the space for hair makeup (I have a small wedding party). I read somewhere that they recommend checking into your night-of hotel room before the wedding, and this way it saves us $$$.

Will the groomsmen's SO's really be a problem when you get ready?

We have small wedding parties (I have a MOH only, my FH has four groomsmen). I have only met two of the groomsmen's wives once but I wouldn't be super upset if they caught a peek of me before the wedding, as I don't think it would have any impact on my FH or the other guests seeing me for the first time. I'd say just get ready in the house you have already rented, and maybe create some boundaries if you want to minimize other people seeing you.

Also it sucks that your hotel rate is so high for getting a bridal suite!
