We are going to ireland for about $2500 from LAX. Flights are $1500 and hotels for 6 nights are $625 (most include breakfast) and the rest is food and entries to tours and museums.

@Brittany where did you book your honeymoon? We are also thinking of going to Ireland, but FH has put me in charge of planning it all.

We went to Sandals in the Bahamas and spent $3500. Your best bet is to figure out which places have the best flight prices from your nearest airport and then narrow it down from there. We were coming from Texas so flights to the Caribbean were the cheapest for us.

My FH and I are going on a Mediterranean cruise. The cruise is 12 days and we are going early and staying late so it is much longer than 5 days but the total price was around 6k. I would say the cruise would be a great options bc it's one price and you dont have to worry about transportation or food. and we actually got a drink package included with ours so we don't have to pay for that either!

The only bad thing about cruises. My suggestion if youve never been on one ,one for your honeymoon could leave you sick the entire week. You never know how your body will react to being seasick.

September is low season in the Caribbean so $3000 is doable for sure. I guess it will depend on what you guys like to do and what kind of property you want to stay at i.e. All inclusive vs. private villa, etc. - I am happy to make some suggestions based on the places I have visited.

Almost forgot, whatever you decide on make sure to get travel insurance. It is peak hurricane season during that time.

You could always reach out to a travel agent for ideas. My cousin does it for a living and she has done a lot of research for me just to give me pricing ideas. A resort is a good idea, and they can compare prices and include airfare. Good luck to you!

Aruba, all-inclusive, 7 days, in October with airfare: $5000. And yes, it hurts my soul to spend that for one week of fun. But I'm not getting married every day, so I may as well go big!

@V2O, I got our flights from Aer Lingus but kept checking the app Skyscanner. Then I booked our hotels on Hotels.com. We love Game of Thrones and castles so our iterneray revolves around that but we are flying into dublin, spending 2 nights in Belfast, one night in Galway, one night in cork and then back to Dublin. Most of the entries to castles and museums are under $8.

My boyfriend loved seeing the hot air balloon festival in New Mexico when he was a kid and we found out that there is one happening in Albuquerque the week after our wedding. I want to share that same excitement and create a new memory with him with the hot air balloons so we are going to rent a cabin in Ruidoso (pretty close to Albuqurque) and enjoy a little New Mexico retreat. It might not be everyone's ideal but to me, I just wanted to do something new and different with him.
