No first dance

Virginia, on April 19, 2021 at 6:50 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
We were supposed to get married April 9, 2020 but covid obviously shut that down. We got married in our living room and rescheduled the reception to June. At this point, I feel like a first dance is silly and kinda just don’t wanna do it. Did anyone else skip the first dance or been to a wedding without one?

I both skipped it and have been to many weddings without one. It's completely fine to skip it if you and your spouse aren't interested. Likely, no one will even notice.

I’ve been to many weddings with no dancing, and the first dance was skipped. There’s nothing odd about it. Guests use that time to chat and catch up.

We plan to skip the first dance. It's just not our thing. I don't think anyone will notice!
