My FH and I have decided not to do a first look as we want the total shock of seeing each other in our attire. I had the idea of doing a "first touch" with something separating us so we can't see each other, but we can pray together before the ceremony starts, holding hands. Has anyone done this? Did it take the surprise away even though you didn't actually see each other? I want the total shock factor of it all and don't want to mess any of that up.
