No flower girl - guest throw flowers??

Jessica, on March 3, 2022 at 3:56 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9
So I saw a TikTok where they had the guests throw flower petals as the bride and groom exit the ceremony (recessional)
We are not having a flower girl. Is this a silly idea or do you think it could be cute for pictures and what not

It doesn’t strike me as any different than throwing rice or blowing bubbles. It’s a cute idea and will make for some cute pictures. Do it if it feels right!

I don't think it is silly at all but I would first check what your venue allows because some venues (especially historical sites) can have strict rules about petals and such being thrown.

At what point are they thrown? Before the bride’s entrance? If there is no flowergirl then the florist will lay down a pathway of real petals that are biodegradable. Guests can toss them after the ceremony similar to confetti in the movies, but again they are real flowers.

I had my guests toss petals on me and my husband as we exited the ceremony. I loved it. It was one of my fav moments and photo ops. I got my petals on... flyboynaturals.com and I put them in paper cones. I actually made the cones my self out of old sheet music but you can def but cones already made.

I ordered the imperfect/slightly bruised petals which were cheaper 🤭😂

Thinking at the exit - more like a celebratory thing. We would use real petals as our venue is outdoors and states real petals only
