So both FH and I are in school right now, so not only do we not have money to spend on a honeymoon, we really don't have time to go on one either. Did anyone else not go on a honeymoon? Did you do something else instead? Or does anyone have suggestions for a cheap weekend excursion (we live in...

No honeymoon here either. We got a cabin in the woods for 2 days so it is quiet and calm and we can just relax together. Anything that gives you a chance to just spend some quality time is nice, doesnt have to be a full blown vacation

I'm not sure where in Cali you live, but in SoCal, a fun weekend trip can be made to Catalina or Coronado... Up north you could do a weekend in San Simeon for Hearst Castle. We've done both those trips in a weekend & it was plenty of time

My wife and I postponed our honeymoon for eight months as I was in the Military at that time (plus it allowed us to save up). As for an inexpensive honeymoon, I would suggest you check travel zoo (www.travelzoo.com). They have some AMAZING deals that you could use for your honeymoon. Also, if you are the adventurous type, back pack through Arizona and/or SOCO. The Grand Canyon is awesome, and there are some great places in Arizona to go camping. A night under the stars with some wine... Tucson, Az. has some great resorts and the area is VERY picturesque (once you leave the city). I lived in AZ for 27 years and would be happy to provide some additional locations if desired.

I am one of the last of my friends to get married, an only one of them has gone on a honeymoon. I'm getting married in September, and I'm a teacher so I won't be going on a honeymoon.
