No More Trouble Zones, better than 30 Day Shred! (IMO)

I purchased No More Trouble Zones a few days ago and did it for the first time yesterday, I LOVED it. You can do the workout all the way through (50 mins) or you can customize it. It's broken down into 7 circuits (6 minutes each) plus the warm up and cool down. Yesterday I did the Warm Up, Chest & Abs, Thighs & Triceps, and the Cool Down. I was honestly getting bored with the same workout with 30DS (Level 2 was too much), this lets me choose my combination.

Anyone else doing it? Anyone else want to do it with me and talk about our progress? Smiley smile I'm going to take before pictures today.

Okay, so I just got done with my first day. I was ambitious (stupidly so) and decided to do the whole workout rather than a few circuts...so I don't know if I will be able to move tomorrow. I like it better than 30DS and I don't find Jillian as annoying in this one which makes the workout more enjoyable.

LOL, if you can't move, maybe FS can give you a full body massage. I got one today and fell asleep afterward. I did Shoulders and Legs, Lower Body and Core, and Chest and Abs. I barely made it through though because I'm still sore from my last 2 workouts. I also don't find Jillian as annoying in this one, maybe that's another reason I like it more than 30DS. Smiley smile

Sadly FH & I are long distance through the week. He works 2 hours away, so I will have to wait until friday for that massage...and I sure will need one by then!

Aww. What about a nice, warm bath? I took one on Friday night (my thighs were killing me) with a Basin Therapy bath bomb (they have 4 stores in the whole country, 3 at the Disney theme parks, but you can find other brands or order online). They're so relaxing, smell WONDERFUL, and it's fun to dissolve the bomb :p

http://www.basin.com/ (best way to treat yourself Smiley smile) I'm taking some on my honeymoon.

So I worked out yesterday pretty hard and did:

    Warm Up

    Shoulders and Legs

    Lower Body and Core

    Chest and Abs

    Cool Down

I'm so sore today that I seriously couldn't workout (and I really wanted to, my motivation is there). My sides are both insanely sore, my arms/chest hurt, and my legs would rather be up Smiley tongue I feel like this is making my fitness progress stall for this one reason alone: I'm too sore and tired to prepare meals, so I eat Taco Bell or Papa John's instead Smiley tongue I went grocery shopping today though and got some healthy meals. I've been starving for the last few days, I'm hoping I can get my hunger under control Smiley smile And the Baklava I made is almost gone, so that will be good. Mmmmm, baklava.

Beth, how is it going for you? Smiley smile

    Week 1 update:

So I did the full workout only 3 times this week because I have been cleaning my butt off since I'm showing the apartment to people who might take over my lease. But, I was sweating just as much with the cleaning cause I have no a/c and my apartment has been about 90 degrees and I was doing just about any cleaning imaginable (so I like to think that I worked out to a similar degree).

So I lost 1.3 pounds and I lost 1.5" inches on my waist, 1" around my belly button (bye bye spare tire!), 1" on my hips, and 1" on my thighs!!!

I can't wait to see how this week goes, but I can only do it about 4 times this week because I'm having an outpatient procedure done on thursday, so I won't be able to work out for a couple of days!!

Uh oh about the fast food! Try to make meals that you can prep ahead of time or meals that do "double duty" (i.e. you're having something with chicken on monday, cook extra chicken so that you can put it in the fridge and use it for another meal later in the week and spend less time and effort cooking that later meal). Or I tend to make cassaroles and since I live by myself I freeze almost the whole thing but in individual serving containers so that all I have to do is put it in the fridge in the morning and microwave it when I get home!

Great job last week, sorry I neglected the thread. What results have you seen this past week?

That's great! How the heck did you get through the full workout? I'm DYING after 3 circuits Smiley tongue No a/c? Oh no! I hope your next place has it.

Wow, impressive results! Do you have a goal of what you want to get to or are you just seeing what your body does on its own?

I hope your procedure goes well Smiley smile 4 days is still wonderful, especially if you're doing the entire workout. That's more than me!

Ever since that last post, I've been REALLY good about eating healthier and cooking at home. I started calorie tracking on SparkPeople the next day and have been hungry ever since. The range they gave me was WAY too low, so I'm bumping it up from 1,300-1,550 to 1,700-1,800. Ever since starting NMTZ that Thurs (15th), I've planned on working out 5 days a week. So far, so good! The first week I did 5 days. I'm in the middle of the second week right now (Thurs-Wed). I even made myself a schedule so I know which 3 circuits to do each day.

I did lose 2 pounds, but I've been stuck at the same weight for 4 days. My scale measures fractions too, so it sucks when that number doesn't go down at all. My scale has a "memory" though, so I'm thinking I might have lost more, but it won't move down until I've weighed in at that weight for a few days or something. There's no way I'm exactly 123.4 for 4 days straight. Sadly, my measurements haven't changed. (Continued)

I don't really have a goal weight/measurements, I just want to look leaner and have more defined muscles. My arms are my biggest problem area, I would like to see those gone. Well, not completely, just shrunk down a bit Smiley tongue I'm not as sore as I was at the beginning, so cooking has been a lot easier. I found that when I don't take days off, it's easier on my muscles. Sounds absolutely insane, but when I come back to a workout after a day off, my muscles are tighter and I have to stop more. So for those starting off, know that it gets easier Smiley smile

Attention everyone: It's never too late to join the NMTZ club Smiley smile Jump in any time

Oh, and no more chocolate malts for me Smiley tongue

From the weight I am right now I would like to be down 20-30 pounds. 20 would put me where I was when I started college and 30 would be the lowest weight I've been since I was like 14. My trouble areas are my arms, thighs, and spare tire. Those are what I'd like to see gone. I plan on doing boudior pics in about a month, and hope that I can get more toned for those. My eating hasn't been all too good (I've skipped a couple of meals because of being so busy) and I am changing that this week. Currently I have been doing the Special K plan which worked wonders last year (I lost 10 pounds in a month without working out) and I don't feel like I'm starved and it makes me eat breakfast (I've never been much of a breakfast person).

I love NMTZ because I feel like the "afterburn" lasts a lot longer. The days following my workouts I could feel muscle tension with every move I made, but it wasn't painful. Made me feel like my body was getting stronger!

Great job dks! You will probably see more toning & definition than pounds lost! I love when I get dressed every morning my clothes feel looser! Keeps me motivated!

I will be back soon to give an update. The last few days have been busy and today, I got malware on my computer and didn't have use of it for about 5 hours while it scanned in safe mode. Brb, probably tomorrow.

I think you could absolutely achieve those goals with this program combined with dieting (even just watching portions). I tried the Special K diet and ended up so hungry that I was sick. It doesn't seem like you'd get enough vitamins, minerals, and fiber replacing 2 meals with cereal though. I prefer working in whole foods to see weight loss Smiley smile Quinoa, lentils, beans, veggies like dark greens, fruits, things like that. Breakfast is a must. I usually have half of a whole grain bagel (Market Pantry from Target) with Panera hazelnut cream cheese. Mmm. Less than 200 calories and so delicious.

My guy did NMTZ with me on Saturday and his legs were sore for 4 days! He's in pretty good shape too. We only did 3 circuits, not even the whole workout. Smiley tongue

This week has been pretty bad with working out. Since Sunday, I've only done it once. I was so motivated in the morning to do it yesterday, but right after eating lunch, I crashed. I was feeling sick, so I laid down in bed and fell asleep for 2 1/2 hours. I woke up feeling worse, sadly, so I just showered and relaxed the rest of the day. I think I'm starting my period, that could explain why I feel blah. I'm going to work out today for sure. Smiley smile

I'm scared to step on the scale tomorrow. I was so busy I was only able to do the workout 1 day. And then I had my procedure on Thursday so I can't work out for at least a week. And to makes things worse this week was my hometown's fair week....which means I ate completely horribly all week. Maybe I'll luck out and at least stayed the same weight...fingers crossed!

Don't stress, it's not something you can control. Do what I do... don't step on the scale Smiley tongue I only worked out twice last week because I just felt blah. I took today off too (cramps and heavy bleeding), but I'm hoping to get back on track tomorrow.

Today is a new day, new week, new month. Just get back on track when you can and do it Smiley smile I'm here, I'm your support. I have faith in you Smiley smile

Week Two Update (much better than I thought it would be):

I lost 1.5 pounds, .5" off my waist, .5" off my hips, & .5" off my thighs! Hopefully by the end of the week I can be working out again, but until then it's definitely healthy eating for me! My first dress fitting is tomorrow so I'm excited to see how it looks (I've lost about 10 pounds since I last had it on). And my arms are looking more toned and less flabby, so that is very encouraging. Thanks for the support DKS.

What results have you seen? Did you take your measurements at all or are you just going off of how your clothes fit, how you look/feel? FH tried 10 minutes of NMTZ over the weekend and was dying, but he might give it a try because I don't think 30DS is working for him the way he wants it to.

    That's great!! Smiley smile

Sadly, no results yet. I feel tighter, but my measurements and weight haven't changed. It's discouraging and frustrating, but it happens every time I work out and diet. Smiley sad I'm getting up and working out right now. I just printed out a calender with all of my scheduled workouts. I hope I can stick with it and see results Smiley smile
