How long have you guys waited to reach out to your photographer regarding getting your pictures back? Our contract states 6-10 weeks turn around, and it has been well over that. Don’t want to be an annoying customer but we did pay for a service. I get it’s peak of wedding season and want to give some grace, but a contract is a contract for a reason you know?

If it’s been over 10 weeks, I would definitely reach out and ask when you can expect your pictures and remind the photographer that your contract states 10 weeks maximum for delivery.

I would definitely reach out and ask for an ETA.

If it's been over 10-11 weeks, I would definitely reach out to your photographer! Mention that you're super excited to see your photos, and you were curious as to when you can expect to receive them.

I was married in July and didn’t get my pictures back until November. I reach out on three different occasions. Giving about 3 weeks space between each. I initially contacted him about 10 weeks after the wedding to get an estimate.

I think if you haven’t heard anything back at all, it’s reasonable to reach out and ask for an estimate. Especially if there is a time frame on your contract.

I would reach out, don’t worry about being annoying. You paid someone so they need to follow through and provide you with the best service!

Of course.. if you’re concerned then call. I’m not clear on the reason for hesitating.

I just don’t want to show annoying.. I guess. And she made a post recently stating “thank you for all my clients who aren’t harassing me” lol so I was like oh is that my sign not to say anything?

Definitely call! You’re not being annoying at all, especially when it’s been longer than the contracted amount of time. She actually should have reached out to YOU by now and provided and update. Also creating a “don’t harass me” post as a wedding vendor is horrible. Now she’s caused you (and probably others) to feel intimidated. But I’m certain she would have “harassed” you if you didn’t pay your balance on time. Unfortunately photographers/videographers shouldn’t take on more than they can handle editing in an appropriate amount of time.

If you don’t feel comfortable calling, then send an email as a track record.
